Just a tad better than reading a harlequin, need I say more?

the following review is from amazon:

I am almost finished with this book and I am only reading it to see what happens in the end. Otherwise, I have given up on this author, mainly due to childlike writing and very dated language. What did it for me was the, "Ha! I've outsmarted you, Cecelia!" line. I feel like the author insults the reader's intelligence. If there is an epic twist that exceeds my expectations AND reveals that this old fashioned language was a ruse, then I will come back and change my review. The main character is young. There is no way she would be saying some of the things written here. Also, for all of the attractiveness the husband supposedly has, he loses all of it with the amount of winking going on, and phrases like, "Knock yourself out." There are also heavy stereotypes with regard to the landscaper. I am usually not very sensitive of that in a book, but I feel like the author overdoes it. Not to mention, she talks too often of how he might want to fight people just because of the size of his muscles. One of these instances refers to the crazy mom, which I feel is totally out of place. It says something like he could crush her. Totally unwarranted. Lastly, I think a lot of this is cliched, easy to predict. I'm yawning. I hope I can come back and say different.
