This was part of my package within the Valentine‘s exchange 2024 ordered by pikkis for me.

As always, a great read this novel by Elif Shafak with the very serious and still existing topic of crime of honour. One knows very fast what happened but only in the end one knows all the circumstances and implications. A story that, as it is usually the case with Elif Shafak, travels through various stages of contemporary history, some lenghts at the beginning, but still very moving when it comes to the individual personalities and their relationships with one another. At at certain point you can‘t put it down.

This book will travel from France to Finland in order to be released on the book buffet of the 2024 Convention in Tampere. Hopefully it will find a new reader as it‘s a very good book.

Picked up at the bookcrossing convention in Tampere. I have not read this, but I enjoyed another book by her. So it will go to the UK next.
