This was such a good read. But I was bothered by the fact that the author kept calling the inspector fat. We know he’s fat just stopped saying it. I will look for some other books by this author. I was surprised by the laws in Malaysia where a mother could lose her children because she was not a Muslim.
Enjoy! RABCK to Aberpeter For Oh The Places We Can Go - Malaysia
thank you for the RABCK
I enjoyed this Malaysian mystery. Inspector Singh, a detective from Singapore, has been sent to Malaysia to see the to best interest of Chelsea Liew, a Singapore citizen. Chelsea has been arrested for the murder of her husband. The Malaysian law enforcement believe this to be an open and shut case and are only humoring the Singapore government by allowing Inspector Singh to assist with the case. After only a few (supervised by Malaysian law enforcement) interviews, Inspector Singh believes there to be more to this case than initially presented.
The author slowly drops clues along the way, introduces new characters and their motivations at appropriate times, and closes the case with all the pieces to the puzzle put in place.
