Valor's Choice

I read this a couple years ago, and hung onto it, thinking I might want to re-read it, but that hasn't seemed to have happened, so I'm going to let it venture on to the next reader.
Plot-wise, this isn't a particularly unique tale, since it focuses on a well-used set-up of a group of people getting to know each other in the midst of diplomatic interactions gone-wrong. Where it did stand out to me was Huff's talent of engaging characters and creating a range of cultures to play off each other. It made for a quick, engaging read with more personality than your average military sci-fi novel.

Selected this one from the SciFi bookbox. Could not pass this up - I have book #2 in this series on my shelf.
