"Meet detectives Kitt Lundgren and MC Riggio from the Rockford Violent Crimes Bureau.
Kitt is a fifty-something cop whose only daughter died during the hunt for a psychopath. Kitty has endured the worst of what life has to offer - and come out stronger.
MC has led a very different life. In her late twenties, she has always known the safety net of a big Italian family - a family she has never felt part of. Independent and ambitious, MC is determined to prove herself at any cost.
For Kitt and MC, being partners is about more than just the badge. It's about trust. Loyalty. A substitute daughter for one. A mentor for the other. Together Kitt and MC are unstoppable. Then the unthinkable happens - a serial killer strikes at those closest to them. In the race to stop the cold-blooded predator, their partnership will be put to the ultimate test."
I enjoyed this thriller, I preferred the first Lundgren book though.

This is now back with me, I will find it a new home soon.
11 Feb 19 - It seems books by Erica Spindler are destined to be average star reviews for me after looking back and seeing the previous three books I’ve read have all been rated around the same. The stories seem a little far fetched, and with the exception of one, I’ve guessed who it was a out half way though and it was the same with this book. An interesting theory behind this story, the body count got a bit high for my liking to be believable. That said it was a quick entertains read and should any more come my way I would probably still read them.
