This is the story of two women in the 18th century who eloped together from Ireland to live in relative obscurity in Wales. They did become celebrities in their own right though, as they had withdrawn from society and lived as intellectual aesthetics. The most interesting part is when they are escaping from their families. Once settled into their house, the action is not quite so fast paced. Like all women of the 18th century they struggle with money worries. Still, they don't seem to have been fabulous at budgeting either - with much money spent on home improvements. It would be particularly interesting to visit their house, now a museum.
