this is a great book about relationships and the human psyche. 'Surfacing' is about a young women searching for her lost father out in northern Quebec. Is he dead or will this anti-heroine find her father in the woods.
it has rich language about the landscape, a wild lake and her rustic cabin lost in the forest primeval. She burns all evidence of her father after she is abandoned and left alone on the dock to fend for herself in the wilderness. will she find her father?
I have not finished the book but i am close. who wants to spoil the ending anyways!
